De Ca A 12 Year Old Rum

Flor de Ca*a 12 Year Old is a premium aged Nicaraguan rum produced by a family owned estate whose rum-making history dates back to1890. Produced at the base of the San Crist*bal volcano, it is naturally matured for a full 12 years in American white oak bourbon barrels. Unlike many rums where sweetness can dominate the experience, Flor de Ca*a 12 is produced without added sugar, artificial flavours or additives.

The extended maturation instead delivers its richness through oak: vanilla, baked apple and toasted nuts sit alongside honey, red fruit and warming spice. Bottled at 40% ABV, it's polished and approachable without becoming overly sweet or heavy. There's enough oak and maturity to make it an excellent sipping rum, while its relatively dry profile works particularly well in more spirit-forward cocktails.

Tasting Notes Colour: Deep reddish amber. Nose: Red fruits, honey and toasted nuts, developing into vanilla, caramel and subtle oak. Palate: Smooth and medium-bodied with vanilla, baked apple and seasoned oak at the forefront. Honeyed sweetness develops alongside toasted nuts, caramel and gentle warming spice.
